So anyone who knows me probably knows that as much as I love my job, things have been pretty rocky here lately. One of the partners of the company is kind of a worthless person. It seems like the only thing he is here for is his paycheck. I would think that as a partner, you would have a vested interest in the welfare of the company you are working for. But apparently, he does not care.

So I just found out that Ken, the intern that has been here almost as long as me, is quitting, and going to another company. This is sad news, because I like Ken, and he is great to work with. However, I also just found out that the worthless partner is also leaving, although I think his is more of a forced issue. So today is a bittersweet day for me, because my friend is leaving, but I think that from here on out, things are going to get a lot better here at the office.

I'll keep you posted.

Wow how time flies when you are having fun.
Update on the cat thing: She came back, the very next day. My sweet little kitty was out in the big world for 6 days (almost exactly) and came back home. I was so happy. Cory went out to get the newspaper, and there she was, in the bush next to the door. She was really skinny, and meowed a lot, and all she wanted to do the first three days is sit in my lap (I didn't mind that too much though.) The other two cats had a pretty hard time adjusting to her being back in the house, but now, almost a month later, they are getting back to normal. This makes me happy because Max was very sad that her sister wouldn't have anything to do with her. I also think it is funny that she will not go near an open door now. Apparently Max is an indoor cat. Stubby however, is a completely different story. She wants to go outside so bad. Max must have told her all about it. I wish she could tell me her adventures.

So my parents are flying into Nebraska this weekend, but we won't be going to see them. They are having their 35 year class reunion. We will however see them in June, when they are back (twice in one month!) for my grandmother's 80th birthday festivities and family reunion.

My class reunion is this summer also, albeit only the 10th. I am pretty excited, I know there will be a few people there that I haven't seen in, oh, I dunno, 10 years? Odd how that works. Getting ready for my reunion is kind of weird for me, it has been bringing up a lot of old memories, and I spend a lot of time what if'ing. Ahh.

Okay that is it for now, I need to get some work done today.

So this week has been really rough. One of our cats (Max) got out of the house on Saturday, and still has not returned home. I never thought that losing a pet could be so traumatic. I don't really know what you can do to find a lost cat. We have checked at our local humane society, put up a poster there so that if anyone brings in our cat, they will know it is her and can call us. It's been five days, how long will I have to live in hope that she will be back? I guess we will find out.
